There are times when even the strongest among us needs a helping-hand.  Whether it be a shoulder to lean on, an ear to listen to the problems that plague us all at times and then there are financial hardships.  These never come at a good time and most often at the worst times.

This is just such a time for one of our brothers, Jim Donahue.  Jim has been dealing with health issues for some time now and it is to the point that he needs the assistance of a wheelchair. As of a week ago, Jim could no longer walk.  He has been dealing with issues that have crippled him with pain. Most of us know that in this field, working is not an option. The Beat Goes On 24×7 and it is up to us to be there.

A LITTLE GLIMPSE AT HISTORY

Let me back-up and tell you about Jim a little first.  Jim has been a life-long cop who, without fail, has always done anything he could do to help out a fellow brother.  His goal when starting CopBlue was to “save just one life.”

I believe he has done that many times over.  His commitment to the men and women in law enforcement is unparalleled. He has continuously used CopBlue to address issues in policing and reinforce his support in all of us.

Jim is the guy you want in your corner.  His calm demeanor and years of wisdom are priceless.  He started CopBlue as an outlet for officers to express their opinions and concerns.  He did this to let officers know that they were not alone.  That they had voice, and it could be heard on CopBlue.

Now, in these days, Jim needs our help. He is not the one to ask for it so I am doing it for him.

HELP!!!!

I am calling on each good member of the brotherhood to help him through this period.  The costs that are incurred with his medical issues are mounting.  As we all know, bills do not stop coming.  They only add up.

Ramps need to be built, modifications to be made and day-to-day costs that will pile up if we do not help.  Jim will get through this like he always does, but in the interim we MUST  have his back.  I’m asking that all of you who read CopBlue donate and help Jim through the CopBlue magazine and DONATION portal in the store.

You can do this directly through CopBlue.com and here is how to do it:

  1. Go to CopBlue.com
  2. Click on “store” in the top banner (unless you were taken there automatically)
  3. Scroll down until you see the image “donate now”
  4. Click on that and please donate.

ALTERNATELY …

You can just click here:   DONATE TO HELP JIM

Anything and everything will be greatly appreciated.  I’m asking and thanking all of you for your time reading this and any assistance you can render.

We couldn’t agree more.
