Remember a few weeks ago, CopBlue published a story about Tony Maglica and his son, John?  John’s a retired cop from Ontario, CA and runs MAGLite with his Dad.

Tony invented and perfected the light that millions of cops have carried since the seventies. It always works. It is as tough as nails. Great for rapping on doors, raising a ruckus and (on rare occasion) thumping some jerk who is trying to hurt one of us in blue.

This year, MAGLite is bringing a gift to every cop in America:

The LED version of the original take-no-shit MAGLite. For the digit-heads out there, it’s model ML150LRS. Here’s a picture of the light and charging stuff.

Yeah, I know there are other LED lights you could buy. Maybe you already have. But, NONE of them say, “MAGLite” on the side. You and I both know what that name means in terms of reliable, dependable performance. 100% manufactured in America. Always was. Always will be.

You might even ask, “What took ‘em so long?”  That’s valid. Here’s the simple answer:  Tony Maglica is a perfectionist and perfection takes time. In a recent interview he said, “I won’t sell a product that I wouldn’t buy for myself.” Fair enough.

This new light throws one helluva beam further out than any I’ve ever seen. It has other beam settings like low, strobe, etc. It charges fast and it’s still tough enough and big enough to save your butt if you’re in a scrape.

This is the poop-sheet on it. (below)

This light can only be ordered on the MAGLite website (   Being a member of the CopBlue family, you can get 20% discount by entering this discount code at checkout:  CB20.

When you order one using that code, it helps you and it helps CopBlue.

A street test will begin shortly with a crew of cops who work nights in patrol. They are going to give these new lights a test run and report back on how well they worked along with any opinions they may have.

This light is for us cops …  just like everything about MAGLite … it’s for us cops. There isn’t a bigger supporter of American patriots in blue than the MAGLite family. God bless ‘em, one and all.

“Above all, it’s about going home at the end of the shift … “

We couldn’t agree more.
