Black lives matter. Not really.
Blacks lives taken by white police officers matter.
Black lives taken by fellow blacks, do not matter.
The Chicago mayor is black. The Cook County Board President is black.
In the 23 days of June, 420 people have been shot in Chicago and 58 have died. The Cook County State’s Attorney is black as is the Chief Judge of Cook County Circuit Courts.
In the past 5½ months, 1,586 people have been shot in Chicago; 280 were shot and killed and another 27 were killed by various other means.
The State Senate Majority Leader is black. The Illinois Lieutenant Governor is black.
Last week a 3-year-old girl was shot and killed. Her father refuses to cooperate with police detectives investigating her murder.
The Illinois Secretary of State is black. The Clerk of the Circuit Court of Cook County is black.
So far this week, 72 people have been shot with 9 of them killed.
The Cook County Clerk is black. The Chicago Treasurer is black.
Last week end over 100 people were shot in Chicago in four days including several young children.
The Superintendent of Police is black. The Chicago Fire Department Commissioner is black.
A 7-year-old girl was shot and killed while another 3-year-old girl was shot and wounded. Two 14 and 15 year old children were gunned down, as well.
The Chicago Police Board President is black. The Chicago Transit Authority President is black.
The vast majority of shootings occur in three police districts, all majority black.
The CEO of Chicago Public Schools is black, as is the Illinois Attorney General.
The Fourth of July is rapidly approaching and it falls on a Saturday. This is going to make this 4th of July a very long, long weekend.
It should be pleasantly warm if not hot. And, it’s a full moon. I predict Chicago is about to obliterate all previous shooting records for the Windy City.

- The Illinois Attorney General is black.
- The Chicago Fire Department Commissioner is black.

- The Illinois Lieutenant Governor is black.
- The Illinois Secretary of State is black.
- The Clerk of the Circuit Court of Cook County is black.
- The Cook County Clerk is black.
- The Chicago Treasurer is black.
- The Chicago Police Board President is black.
- The Chicago Transit Authority President is black.
- The CEO of Chicago Public Schools is black.
- The Commissioner of the Department of Water Management is black.
This list does not include the huge number of Chicago Aldermen, State Representatives and State Senators who are black.
Chicago’s mayor just commissioned a panel to oversee disciplining of Chicago Police Officers for potential wrongdoing and violating the CPD’s rules and regulations.
The co-chair of this committee is the same black woman who declared at a public meeting that all police officers are ‘psychopaths with guns.’
Do black lives really matter? Not if you’re a politician in Chicago, Cook County, or Illinois.
The popular mantra “Black lives matter” is political jargon for black people shot and killed by Chicago Police Officers.
So far in 2020, almost 1,600 people have been shot in Chicago, predominately black victims. Four people have been shot by Chicago Police with 3 succumbing to their wounds. Not really earth-shattering, compared to the incredible amount of shooting that takes place in Chiraq.
If black lives really mattered and were not just a political talking point, do you think the black hierarchy mentioned here would actually do something about it? Phony politics – in the form of power – are all that matter.
Black lives don’t really matter.
To all my brothers and sisters in blue, lock and load and protect one another. And as always, stay safe.
