We are pleased that you have stopped by to view the next CopBlue video article. They are published regularly and address a variety of issues which are important to American Street Cops.

In today’s article, Danny shares thoughts on a plague facing HUGE numbers of cops across the country:  FAILED LEADERSHIP.

The chief in Davie, Florida has made a real bone-headed move in front of his troops a short time ago. Do you remember Broward Sheriff’s Deputy Shannon Bennett? He died recently and was struck down by the coronavirus.

It seems that Chief Dale Engle of Davie let his mouth get overloaded with his ass when he claimed that Shannon’s death was the result of him living a, “gay lifestyle.”

When the douchebag chief was challenged about his comments regarding Deputy Bennett, he tried to weasel out from blame. Reading from the ‘Politician’s Guide of a Thousand-and-One Excuses,’ he first said that he was misunderstood. Then, he claimed it was the tried-and-true, ‘taken out of context’ line. It didn’t stop there, but I won’t bore you with the details.

And this guy holds himself out as OUR leader?

Leaders are supposed to set an example for his people to follow. Dale Engle probably can’t spell the word ‘LEADER.’

Our own Danny reminds us that we are cops. We enforce the law. What someone does in the privacy of their own bedroom and whom they choose to love is none of our business or concern.

Apparently this “chief” hasn’t learned that fundamental lesson, yet.

And we wonder why we can’t recruit new cops or keep the current ones on the job? Just look at ‘leaders’ like the one in Davie for one answer.

Please take a moment and watch Danny’s message. It comes from the heart of one of America’s finest.

“Above all, it’s about going home at the end of the shift … “

We couldn’t agree more.
